Do I need to be a member of SCI-BC to post an ad?
No, anyone can post an ad. If you are interested in becoming a member, you can find out more on our Become a Member page.
Do I have to register to use the Accessible Housing BC site?
You do not have to register to view listings. However, to post your ad or listing on SCI-BC’s Accessible Housing BC’s site, you must complete the simple registration process.
How do I register?
Go to the SCI-BC Accessible Housing BC site and click on “Register/Log In” in the upper right corner, and follow the directions. You can also click on “Post a Listing” and follow the instructions. Your login details will be emailed to you for confirmation so make sure to use a valid email address. Once registration is complete, you will be able to submit your ads. If you have trouble registering, contact a SCI-BC Information Service Agent at 1-800-689-2477 or via email to email@example.com.
How do I post an ad?
Once you’ve logged in, simply follow the step by step instructions. If you have any problem adding a post contact an SCI-BC Information Service Agent at 1-800-689-2477 or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How do I attach a photo with my post?
Scroll down to the bottom of your ad listing and look for the “Add Image” area. To insert an image, simply click the “Choose File” button to browse for the image you wish to upload an insert into your listing. Optionally, fill in the “Alt Text” field to give your image a description. You are able to attach 3 images for each ad listing, each no more than 500kb in size.
How do I manage my account?
Once you have registered, an account area will be available to you in the system. To access your account area, click the Register/Log In link in the upper right corner of your browser window. Your dashboard will allow you to edit your profile information, such as email address and password, as well as manage any ads you have on the system.
How long will my ad stay on the Accessible Housing BC site?
All ads are removed from the Accessible Housing BC site in 60 days. You may relist your ad after this time.
Is it safe to post my ad on the Accessible Housing BC site?
Anyone can read and post an ad on the SCI-BC Accessible Housing BC site. The internet is loaded with scammers. Use caution when conducting business on the internet. SCI-BC is not responsible for the accuracy of the ads. What are the posting guidelines?
- No profanity (that includes using $@#* between letters) vulgarity or rude behavior. We expect that people using the Accessible Housing BC site will be polite and conduct business in a respectful manner.
