About Accessible Housing BC
Accessible Housing BC is brought to you by Spinal Cord Injury BC (SCI-BC) and is intended to facilitate a link between housing providers with accessible properties and housing seekers with disabilities looking for accessible accommodations within British Columbia. Accessible accommodation is one of the top information requests to the SCI-BC InfoLine. For the past 10 years, Spinal Cord Injury BC (SCI-BC) has provided a liaison service (our Housing List of Vacancies) between housing providers across the province and people with disabilities seeking accessible and/or subsidized housing.
Building upon the success and demand for our Housing List of Vacancies, Accessible Housing BC provides an expanded online classified ad service with a wealth of dedicated information resources for both housing seekers and housing providers.
For Housing Providers – Post your accessible properties free of charge in our housing classified ad section. Your posts will be seen by a variety of people looking for accessible accommodation such as people with disabilities and their families, health care professionals and advocates. Postings within BC can be listed by region.
For Housing Seekers – Here at Accessible Housing BC, you will find the most up to date listings of accessible accommodations throughout BC. You may search the accommodation listings using our search function and filtering the results you seek by type of accommodation and the accessible features you require. There are also information resources that may be helpful to you as a tenant such as the SCI-BC Housing Package or a list of Housing Search websites throughout BC.
